Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Mail Clerk – Banking. This position involves supporting the Tax Services office by managing mail and file room functions and assisting with document processing. It offers a valuable opportunity to gain experience within a major bank and develop your administrative skills in a dynamic environment.
Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $21.37/hr
Responsibilities
- Assist with incoming and outgoing mail processes, including scanning tax documents into client folders.
- Review tax notices of assessment for accuracy and file changes appropriately.
- Organize and maintain the mailroom and file storage areas.
- Support with special projects and administrative duties as assigned by the team.
- Utilize MS Office tools, such as Excel and Word, to support document management.
- Operate portable scanners and Adobe Standard for processing digital files.
Desired Skill-Set
- Post-secondary education or current students in accounting, taxation, commerce, or business administration.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word).
- Tech-savvy with familiarity in scanner operation and document management systems.
- Strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Quick learner with problem-solving abilities.
- Reliable and dependable.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in a tax or back-office environment.
- Knowledge of tax software such as CCH TaxPrep.
- Familiarity with CRA’s EFILE Online and related systems.
- Experience with mailroom operations or document processing.
- Background in professional tax services or related fields.
