Working with one of the top financial clients this role calls for an Operations Analyst-Capital Market/OMGEO who will be responsible for developing and maintaining sound working relationships with clients and internal groups to ensure a high level of service is provided on an ongoing basis. The candidate should have proven influencing, relationship management and client interaction skills. The ideal candidate is someone who can execute tasks, has a background in capital markets and is eager to learn.


  • Overall accountability and governance of cash break investigations liaising with clients, correspondent banks, front office and other partners to resolve within procedural guidelines.
  • Ensure all settlement issues are identified and resolved accordingly with the required guidelines.
  • Ensure trade confirmations/statements are effectively managed and produced
  • Ensure NI-24101 matching status is maintained
  • Provide a high level of customer service to our clients acting as a point of contact for all customer inquiries.
  • Market changes generating increased volumes (in the first quarter of 2024 there will be a change from 2-day settlements to 1 day)
  • Operations support (settling trades, reconciling trades, dealing with front and middle office, contact with clients and front office re: settlements, etc.)
  • Small projects (ad hoc basis) to improve workflow
  • Programming skills (VBA to Python) is a nice to have (30% technical with the remaining being capital markets background)
  • Various roles within the capital market space are very nice
  • Little bit of project work and board capital markets experience

Desired Skill Set:

  • 1+ of progressive experience within capital markets, preferably in a Trade Support role with exposure to and in-depth Operational Knowledge of Institutional Equities Business
  • Knowledge of CDS/DTC and Euroclear settlement activity and rules
  • Understanding of OMGEO, FMC, SSCnet and CTM flows
  • End to end understanding of custodial and introducing broker relationships
  • University or college degree in STEM or a related field

Nice to have:

  • Securities accreditation and/or a CSC
  • Familiarity with Fidessa CTP
  • Hands-on knowledge of New Issuance, NCIB and AMT workflows
  • Technical skills in automation including data analytics tools such as VBA, Tableau, Alteryx, Python and UI Path
  • Knowledge of AS/400 platform and functionality
