Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for an Operations Analyst-Mortgage/Loans. This position offers an exciting opportunity to support small business mortgage and loan operations, ensuring transaction accuracy and process excellence while providing valuable support on critical projects. Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $24.87/hr
Responsibilities
- Execute a broad spectrum of operational support tasks within the Small Business Mortgages and Loans team.
- Process transactions accurately, timely, and in accordance with established guidelines and SLAs.
- Identify and escalate processing or operational issues with a clear understanding of the root cause.
- Collaborate with partners by responding to requests promptly and validating information for adjustments.
- Prioritize workload effectively to meet productivity and service quality standards.
- Support incoming transactions, ensuring proper validation and compliance with procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information.
- Contribute to analysis and reporting on projects that improve operational processes and service delivery.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies, including risk compliance and anti-money laundering protocols.
- Escalate high-risk or non-standard activities as necessary.
- Support the completion of business processes accurately and efficiently.
- Participate in ongoing training and stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes.
Desired Skill-Set
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- At least 2 years of administrative experience.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Tech-savvy, adaptable, and quick to learn internal systems.
- Sound understanding of risk and compliance standards.
- Reliable and punctual, demonstrating a hardworking attitude.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple responsibilities.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience working within the banking or financial services industry.
- Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Experience with rotating shift work.
- Exposure to small business loan processing or mortgage operations.
- Background in risk management or compliance-related activities.
