QA Automation Lead – ATM/POS/Payments

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a QA Automation Lead – ATM/POS/Payments. In this position, you will lead end-to-end testing, develop automation frameworks, and oversee QA strategies for banking product testing, ensuring high-quality project delivery within a collaborative team environment.
Pay rate range (CAD): $65.00/hr – $70.00/hr
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end testing across SIT and UAT phases
- Drive QA strategy, automation initiatives, and continuous testing practices
- Develop and enhance automated test frameworks and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Lead offshore QA resources, provide governance, and deliver regular status updates and reports
- Identify risks, manage defects, and ensure project quality standards are met
- Collaborate with Product Owners, BSAs, Developers, and cross-functional teams
- Mentor QA engineers and promote best practices within the team
Desired Skill-Set
- 7+ years of QA/Test Lead experience within financial services
- Strong knowledge of POS systems and understanding of end-to-end transaction flows
- Proven experience with end-to-end testing and automation initiatives
- Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Java, Maven, TestNG, QMetry, and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, including managing offshore teams
- Excellent communication and reporting capabilities
- About 70% backend testing and 30% UI testing
- Ability to balance hands-on automation (40%) with leadership and coordination (60%)
Nice to Have
- Experience building AI-powered QA agents or utilizing AI-driven test automation tools
- Familiarity with GitHub Copilot, Copilot Studio, Agentic AI, or other modern AI testing tools
- Knowledge of autonomous QA agent implementation and AI in testing strategies
