Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Quality Engineer in the Credit platform. The successful candidate will lead hands-on testing activities, develop automation frameworks, and ensure delivery of high-quality solutions within a dynamic team environment.
Pay rate range (CAD): $50.72/hr – $60.86/hr
Responsibilities
- Lead hands-on testing activities, including creating and supporting tests to ensure high-quality deliverables through automation.
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, and RestAssured.
- Plan, execute, and oversee testing strategies in alignment with enterprise standards.
- Collaborate with the team on demand intake, capacity planning, and project lifecycle management.
- Develop efficient test solutions, estimate efforts, and optimize testing expenditures.
- Define and monitor performance metrics to support a data-driven quality culture.
- Identify risks, communicate mitigation strategies, and implement testing best practices.
- Leverage technology to improve testing workflows within CI/CD pipelines.
- Drive continuous improvements in testing processes and frameworks.
- Build, enhance, and deploy Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and automation frameworks.
- Promote in-sprint automation and integrate testing into development pipelines.
- Advocate for high-quality code and continuous delivery practices.
Desired Skill-Set
- 5+ years practical experience in software testing, including API and UI testing.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Selenium, and RestAssured.
- Certified in Scaled SAFE Agile or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM).
- Strong understanding of automation frameworks and testing tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Well-organized, self-motivated, and a strong team player.
- Experience in financial or banking environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of lending products such as mortgages, loans, and credit cards.
Nice to Have
- Experience with ETL and host automation.
- Additional testing tool certifications.
- Familiarity with banking or financial services industry workflows.
- Hands-on experience with consumer lending products.
