Working with one of the top financial clients this role calls for a Release Manager/Lead who will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day activities within a given scheduled release/event, and team up with several team members within a work stream. The successful candidate must also have good analytical skills to evaluate software development, environment, and testing processes and to identify potential challenges throughout the production deployments, mock cycles & conversion activities. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to Event Management Lead, & Support Leads from the different workstreams.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate Command Center resources and provides direction to team members
  • Represent T&O in client’s IMO calls reporting up issues/tracking status
  • Serves as a primary point of contact for executives, Workstream project managers and business leads, and technology partners
  • Oversees resolution of Critical and High priority issues in conjunction with Senior Technical Officers (STO) and Command Center Issue Manager
  • Facilitates Command Center Check Point calls
  • Manages milestones of the overall playbook, timely updates, expected vs. actuals, dependencies, etc.
  • Reaches out to Workstream PM on delayed tasks
  • Works with Issue Manager to determine issue impacts on timelines
  • Tracks Workstream playbook status posted on SharePoint
  • Reports issues information to the Command Center Lead
  • Updates maintains, and provides reporting on issues
  • Coordinates communication between Work Packages when issues are reported
  • Updates maintains, and provides reporting on issues

  • Works with the Schedule Manager and Issue Manager to develop the metrics
  • Develops the Status Report and reviews with the Command Center Lead and Program Leadership (business & technology)
  • Distributes to end-users and other groups
  • Conducts lessons learned sessions after the completion of a release implementation
  • Arranges follow-up discussions from release meetings, lessons learned & strategy sessions

Desired skill set:

  • 5 years of solid experience in release management.
  • Solid experience in Project Management, Testing and Development,
  • Professional credentials, such as the IT Infrastructure Library’s ITIL practitioner
  • Master’s degree in IT project management.
  • Demonstrates solid experience in a team environment and the ability to provide above-average results.
  • Strong experience in project and process coordination, communications and solid technical skills
  • University degree/college diploma in Computer Science or software engineering
  • Exhibits excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Possesses good analytical skills for complex problem solving

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience working in a banking industry
