Working with one of the top financial clients this role calls for a Risk Analyst/Compliance Analyst who will be responsible for acting as a catalyst in ensuring a strong and resilient global Regulatory Compliance Management Program. This candidate must demonstrate sound judgment, the ability to receive direction and work to drive results with minimal supervision and exhibits excellent writing and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the annual CCO Opinion Process including the Compliance Risk Assessment and Compliance Department Self-Assessment by:
  • Act as a Compliance Unit (CU) liaison/subject matter expert by developing an extensive knowledge of existing and emerging Compliance Issues affecting your CUs.
  • Coordinate CU reporting deliverables including board reporting, risk committee reporting, etc.
  • Socialize CGO initiatives, provide training, and act in an advisory role to your CUs on CGO matters and activities.
  • Provide monthly/quarterly reporting including updating commentary, metrics, and trending.
  • Interact and communicate with CU teams and senior management with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain strong and positive partnerships across Compliance.

Desired Skill Set:

  • Solid experience in Compliance, Risk Management, or Internal Audit
  • Demonstrate excellent judgment and time management skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, and communication/presentation skills.
  • Experience in a relationship management role working with different levels of management including senior executives. Able to negotiate and come to a resolution of conflicting points of view.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and/or evolving environment and manage multiple competing priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of risks and controls.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including advanced Excel skills (pivot and data tables).
  • Flexible, able to adapt to changing and ambiguous initiatives or requirements.
  • Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills to think critically and make informed recommendations.
  • Proven experience in project coordination and the ability to work independently.
  • Proactive, looking for streamlined opportunities. Creative ability to think outside the box.
  • Able to see the complete picture and identify potential downstream impacts.
  • Assist in special projects/tasks as required.
  • University Degree

Nice to have:

  • Experience working in the Banking or Financial Industry
