Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Risk Management Policy Writer – Operational Risk. This position involves supporting the development, remediation, and documentation of operational risk policies, ensuring alignment with current banking standards and frameworks. The successful candidate will leverage existing policies and craft new documentation to uplift the operational risk management framework.
Pay rate range (CAD): $61.59 – $73.91
Responsibilities
- Support the remediation and drafting of operational risk policy documents
- Review existing policy documents and align them with current BMO standards and expectations
- Develop new risk management policies and procedures from scratch for banking operations
- Elevate current risk policies to meet new regulatory and industry standards
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure policies are comprehensive and compliant
- Assist in analyzing, revising, and finalizing policy documents for enterprise-wide use
Desired Skill-Set
- 8+ years of experience in financial services or banking
- Proven ability to write risk management policy documents at a professional level
- Strong understanding of operational risk management principles
- Sound knowledge of bank risk management frameworks and standards
- Experience reviewing, revising, and establishing policies, standards, and procedures for an enterprise audience
- Excellent written communication skills with a focus on technical accuracy
Nice to Have
- Experience in policy remediation and uplift projects
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and banking industry best practices
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with risk management frameworks relevant to banking operations
