Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a CAN – IT – Scrum Master I and offers an exciting opportunity to facilitate agile practices, support multiple teams, and contribute to large-scale enterprise solutions. The Scrum Master will be responsible for guiding teams through Agile ceremonies, removing obstacles, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in a collaborative, fast-paced setting. This position provides valuable experience in a reputable organization focusing on software development and wealth management solutions.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring efficient time management and productive discussions.
- Proactively identify and resolve impediments, risks, and dependencies impacting team delivery, coordinating with relevant stakeholders to maintain momentum.
- Coach and mentor team members on Agile principles and Scrum practices, helping foster a self-managed and high-performing team environment.
- Shield teams from external distractions, allowing focused delivery during sprints and maintaining a steady workflow.
- Promote transparent communication and collaboration within teams and across business units, ensuring alignment and clarity.
- Lead Program Increment (PI) planning sessions, guiding teams through quarterly planning cycles and ensuring delivery commitments.
- Manage alignment between technical teams, business partners, and other stakeholder groups to ensure cohesive project execution.
- Drive continuous process improvements by identifying workflow enhancements and facilitating change initiatives.
- Support the onboarding and shadowing periods, ensuring a smooth integration into team activities.
Desired Skill-Set
- Proven experience managing risks, impediments, and dependencies in an Agile setting.
- Certification as a Scrum Master (CSM or equivalent).
- Strong experience with Program Increment planning and execution.
- Excellent facilitation skills, enabling effective meetings and collaboration.
- Great communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and professionally.
- Detail-oriented mindset focused on quality and accuracy.
Nice to Have
- Scaled Agile certification (e.g., SAFe).
- Experience working within banking or financial institutions.
- Knowledge of Release Train Engineer responsibilities and practices.
- Previous project management background or certifications.
- Familiarity with Agile tools and software development processes.
