Working with one of our top financial clients, this is an exciting opportunity to work within the Capital Markets group. The Development team is looking for a Senior Java/J2EE based developer with enterprise-level application development experience, and strong experience with message queue technology. This individual will be supporting multiple FX trading applications for internal use as well as a proprietary application for use internally and by external customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the SDLC having hands-on experience working through the entire development cycle while leveraging DevOps practices. The role will involve working on both enhancements as well as scratch development, and some testing and QA as well. This person will be responsible for fixing production issues and reporting that will require shell-scripting experience. Experience in the banking industry, and specifically, working on with Capital Market Trading Systems, are both strong assets. 
Desired Skill-Set:

  • 8+ years of strong experience with Java/J2EE
  • 8+ years of experience with IBM MQ
  • 2+ years of experience with DevOps tools

Nice to Have:

  • Hands-on experience with reformatting applications for cloud migrations and cloud-based development
