Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Senior Data Developer specializing in AML Risk Assessment on Azure Cloud platform, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-profile, strategic project. In this position, you will play a vital role in developing data solutions that support anti-money laundering initiatives, including aggregating data from diverse sources, running complex queries, and generating critical metrics. Your expertise will help drive compliance and risk management efforts across multiple banking segments, providing valuable insights for the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into Azure Cloud environments
- Design, write, and execute complex SQL queries to support AML risk assessment activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data models
- Build and maintain documentation for data processes, ensuring clarity and reproducibility for future projects
- Generate and support metrics such as high-risk customer counts, segment-specific reports, and risk profiles
- Support the integration of data across different banking segments, accommodating various data structures and logic
- Ensure data security, quality, and compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements
- Bring together data insights into readable formats, supporting reporting and decision-making
Desired Skill-Set
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience as a Data Developer or similar role
- Strong expertise working in Azure Cloud environments, including data operations and query management
- Proven ability to develop, run, and optimize complex SQL queries across multiple data sources
- Experience supporting large-scale, complex data projects in the financial or banking sector
- Excellent communication skills and ability to document technical processes effectively
- Capable of working under tight deadlines and managing time-sensitive deliverables
Nice to Have
- AML or banking industry experience, especially across multiple segments such as Wealth, Insurance, or Securities
- Data-related certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure Data Engineer, cloud certifications)
- Familiarity with support roles in AML risk assessment projects or related compliance initiatives
