Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Senior DevOps & Infrastructure Engineer specializing in Windows and Azure environments within the banking industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex, mission-critical projects while advancing your technical leadership skills in a dynamic setting.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-availability infrastructure solutions on Windows and Azure platforms.
- Automate deployment, configuration, and management of infrastructure using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Shell.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket, or Nexus.
- Manage and optimize SQL Server databases, including MS SQL, SSRS, and SSIS, ensuring performance and reliability.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Salt, or Chef.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply fixes to ensure smooth operation of cloud and on-premise environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to migrate applications and services into Azure cloud, ensuring best practices and security standards are met.
- Contribute to DevOps best practices, continuous improvement, and automation initiatives within the team.
- Document infrastructure setups, configurations, and operational procedures clearly and comprehensively.
Desired Skill-Set
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, and Windows server administration.
- Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Extensive experience with Azure services, including IaaS, and implementing Infrastructure as Code.
- Hands-on knowledge of configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Salt, or Chef.
- Experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting complex applications in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, source control tools like GitHub, Bitbucket, and build automation.
- Solid understanding of database management, particularly MS SQL Server including SSRS and SSIS.
- Good troubleshooting skills and experience with infrastructure, service monitoring, and logging.
- Knowledge of big data technologies or data storage approaches is an asset.
Nice to Have
- Experience with QRM implementation.
- Background in cloud migrations and Azure-specific solutions.
- Strong organizational skills with an ownership mindset and the ability to work independently on high-complexity assignments.
