Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. Guidewire Developer-Policy Center and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a large-scale modernization initiative. This hands-on position involves working on Guidewire Cloud (Mammoth version) to support a strategic, multi-year project aimed at revolutionizing claims processing for both commercial and personal lines.
Responsibilities
- Develop and configure Guidewire PolicyCenter applications to meet project requirements in a cloud environment.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to integrate Guidewire applications with other enterprise systems.
- Participate in the full development lifecycle, including analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Maintain code quality through adherence to best practices, version control, and documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues swiftly to ensure the stability and performance of Guidewire solutions.
- Support existing configurations and assist in system enhancements to optimize business processes.
- Engage actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Desired Skill-Set
- Guidewire Certification (Associate or ACE) in PolicyCenter or similar modules.
- 8-10+ years of hands-on experience in application development on the Guidewire platform.
- Proven expertise in software configuration, integration, and customization within Guidewire Cloud (Mammoth version).
- Strong knowledge of modern programming languages, web services, and databases relevant to Guidewire development.
- Experience working with development tools such as Git, Bitbucket, TeamCity, Jira, and Confluence.
- Familiarity with insurance industry processes and standards.
- Proven ability to work effectively in Agile environments with excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Guidewire Data and Digital applications.
- Knowledge of AWS or other cloud technologies.
- Prior experience working on large-scale insurance transformation initiatives.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation tools.
- Bilingual skills or additional language proficiency relevant to the organization.
