Senior IT (Technical) Recruiter
BeachHead is growing and is seeking a seasoned Recruitment professional to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for executing a full-cycle recruitment strategy, including sourcing candidates through social media networks, databases, and referrals, conducting outreach, and managing a high-quality and efficient recruitment process.
The Senior Recruitment Specialist will work closely with the Recruitment Team Lead/Manager to understand role requirements and deliver qualified Information Technology (IT) candidates across Managed Service Provider (MSP) environments and/or Direct Clients. The ideal candidate brings strong recruitment, negotiation, communication, time management, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively present client opportunities while aligning them with candidates’ career and contract goals.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively screen candidates against job requirements in a fast-paced environment
- Contact new applicants for contract opportunities and maintain relationships with past applicants
- Proactively source and build talent pipelines for contract IT roles
- Leverage networks and referrals for hard-to-fill positions
- Engage candidates through phone, virtual, and in-person interactions
- Develop and maintain a strong network of IT contract candidates and industry professionals
- Mentor and support junior team members
- Accurately log candidate information and communications in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Prepare candidate resumes and summaries/skill matrices for client submission
- Manage candidate and client expectations throughout the recruitment lifecycle
- Thoroughly prepare candidates for client interviews
- Meet individual performance metrics outlined in the ATS dashboard
- Act as a BeachHead ambassador by promoting company values and client partnerships
Desired Skill-Set:
- 3+ years of experience as an IT Recruitment Specialist, preferably within an MSP environment
- Strong time-management skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting
- Proven experience managing full-cycle recruitment in a senior or similar capacity
- Demonstrated relationship-building skills with the ability to align candidate needs with client requirements
- Strong understanding of the IT recruitment market, including roles, skillsets, compensation, and candidate availability
- Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HR-related software
- Familiarity with professional networking platforms, social media, and resume databases
- Knowledge of Canadian labour legislation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional email writing and resume formatting
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field
- Ability to work independently and escalate appropriately when needed
- Strong candidate engagement and headhunting capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple open roles simultaneously
Expected Compensation:
- CAD 55,000 – CAD 90,000 (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications.)
