Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Senior Project Control Officer specializing in RAID management within the banking sector. This position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee project governance, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring projects stay on track through effective planning, tracking, and reporting. You will play a pivotal role in managing project artifacts, financial forecasts, and interdependencies, contributing to the successful delivery of complex initiatives in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain comprehensive RAID logs, ensuring all risk, action, issue, and decision items are current and coherent.
- Support the preparation and consolidation of project status reports, executive summaries, and ad-hoc reporting requests.
- Track and coordinate project interdependencies across workstreams, identifying potential impacts and facilitating resolution.
- Assist with financial management activities, including consolidating monthly cost forecasts, monitoring actual expenditures, and analyzing variances.
- Oversee project change control processes by maintaining PCR lists and ensuring appropriate follow-up on related tasks.
- Organize, track, and ensure integrity of project artifacts and documentation.
- Support schedule management by tracking milestones, deliverables, and activities; escalate risks and slippages proactively.
- Identify, mitigate, and resolve project risks to maintain schedule and quality standards.
Desired Skill-Set
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager utilizing PDLC, Agile, or Hybrid methodologies.
- Proven expertise in RAID management, schedule tracking, and project reporting.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of presenting to senior leadership.
- Hands-on experience with project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, Clarity, and SharePoint.
- Sound understanding of financial forecasting, tracking, and variance analysis.
- Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
- Banking industry experience, with at least 5 years in a financial services environment.
- Prior experience in a similar Senior Project Control Officer role within a large organization.
- Familiarity with remote, hybrid, or onsite project delivery models.
