Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Solutions Architect. This position involves leading complex infrastructure and solution design initiatives, supporting multiple projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative technology solutions aligned with business strategies.
Pay rate range (CAD): $76.08/hr – $91.30/hr
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive infrastructure and solution designs supporting enterprise projects, including platform selection, data management, disaster recovery, high availability, and migration strategies.
- Collaborate with Business & Technology partners to translate requirements into scalable architecture solutions.
- Provide technical guidance during solution implementation and ensure designs meet organizational standards and risk guidelines.
- Serve as a primary escalation point for major technical issues within engineering, operations, and vendor teams.
- Assist in preparing proposals, cost estimates, and technical documentation to support governance and procurement decisions.
- Work closely with Project Managers to support project planning, resource estimation, and risk mitigation.
- Review and validate infrastructure proposals, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and security standards.
Desired Skill-Set
- Minimum 10 years of experience in solution design within enterprise environments.
- Proven expertise with cloud Azure solutions (5+ years).
- Strong knowledge of UNIX systems (Solaris and Redhat Linux; 5+ years).
- Experience managing systems, networks, hardware, and storage (3+ years).
- Hands-on experience with J2EE and .NET frameworks (3+ years).
- Ability to analyze technical risks, develop migration approaches, and estimate project effort.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills across technical and non-technical teams.
Nice to Have
- Banking or large enterprise experience.
- Familiarity with CIBC environments.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow platform.
- Experience with AI technologies, SAS, and Cognos reporting tools.
- Certifications in AI or cloud architecture.
