Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. API Developer in a dynamic hybrid environment. This position involves leading API development initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and working with cutting-edge technologies to support the bank’s digital infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy APIs with a focus on security, scalability, and performance.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Participate in ideation sessions, providing input on deployment strategies and logical development processes.
- Manage and maintain API gateways and developer portals, ensuring smooth integration and usability.
- Support the creation and documentation of technical content for portals, including API specifications and user guides.
- Assist in defining and supporting future state technology capabilities, providing recommendations based on customer experience.
- Own and trace system requirements through all stages from design to deployment, ensuring stakeholder expectations are met.
- Support testing teams by translating requirements into test cases and analyzing results for performance, usability, and operational readiness.
- Interact primarily with internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment of technical solutions with business needs.
Desired Skill-Set
- Extensive experience with API domain and API gateway technologies.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in API management platforms such as Apigee, MS Azure, Envoy.
- Knowledge of PI Management Domain.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and participate in technical discussions.
Nice to Have
- Experience developing and managing developer portals, particularly with Apigee, MS Azure, or Envoy.
- Familiarity with API management platforms and tools.
- Prior experience working in financial or e-commerce environments.
- Understanding of user interface and user experience principles.
