Sr Business Analyst
Are you an accomplished Senior Business Analyst with deep expertise in delivering complex, multi-disciplinary initiatives across both Agile and Waterfall environments? Working with one of our top financial clients, this position calls for a Sr Business Analyst who brings extensive experience in requirements management, facilitation, traceability, and hands-on delivery using SDLC, PDLC, RMLC, and BPM methodologies. The ideal candidate combines advanced communication skills, deep analytical capabilities, and the ability to influence diverse stakeholder groups while navigating complex, high-impact initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and facilitate the end-to-end delivery of business requirements using a structured and traceable approach that maximizes business value.
- Provide leadership in defining business needs, benefit statements, problem/opportunity definitions, and potential solution pathways.
- Contribute to business case development by collaborating with stakeholders to define benefit measures, estimates, and value outcomes.
- Ensure complete traceability of requirements to business solutions and benefit realization throughout the project lifecycle.
- Plan, estimate, and manage the requirements effort including timeline and cost forecasting.
- Use a wide range of elicitation techniques to challenge assumptions and gain deep understanding of requirements.
- Proactively identify, manage, and escalate requirement-related risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints.
- Collaborate with technology partners to support system requirements, solution design, test planning, and technical deliverables.
- Develop both high-level and detailed requirements, including Epics, User Stories, UML Use Cases, Non-Functional Requirements, integration requirements, and data mapping specifications.
- Identify prioritization issues or design risks impacting benefit realization and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
- Support RFI/RFP processes with external vendors as applicable.
- Assist Quality Assurance by reviewing test plans, test cases, and supporting defect management.
- Support organizational change management, readiness activities, and transition planning.
- Mentor junior and peer Business Analysts and contribute to the development of BA practice standards.
Desired Skill Set:
- 10+ years of Business Analysis experience across diverse project environments.
- Expert-level knowledge of SDLC, PDLC, RMLC, BPM, and Business Acceptance Testing.
- Strong command of BA methodologies including Use Case modelling, Process Modelling, Gap Analysis, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Experience delivering in both Agile and Waterfall (or SAFe) environments.
- Advanced problem-solving, facilitation, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead structured requirements workshops and walkthroughs.
- Hands-on experience eliciting, documenting, and managing requirements on complex technology initiatives.
Nice to Have:
- Experience working on remediation initiatives.
- Business Analysis certifications (CBAP® or other IIBA accreditations).
- Exposure to Customer Authentication, Cybersecurity, Fraud, or Information Security programs.
- Familiarity with Organizational Change Management principles.
