Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. Business Analyst-Fixed Income who will work with complex information systems and develops or modifies existing systems through analysis of business and user needs. Under supervision, the ideal candidate will coordinate detailed business requirements while identifying and tracking business systems issues. The successful candidate will research and document sponsor/stakeholder needs in accordance with Project Life Cycle methodology utilizing reporting tools, requirements gathering methodologies, process models, data models and prototypes. The individual will estimate activities required to perform requirements gathering and acceptance testing improving accuracy over time.

Responsibilities:

  • Elicit and document business requirements, risks and priorities to establish a clear understanding of the stakeholder's environment in support of solution development
  • Achieve consensus on scope changes and achieve signoff by all stakeholders
  • Ensure the traceability of individual requirements and adherence to the defined requirements
  • Analyze / interpret business requirements and perform current / target / gap / impact analyses
  • Validate that the proposed/designed solution(s) and associated testing approach will support meeting the articulated business requirements
  • Strong knowledge of requirements/design methodology – detail-oriented, analytical and capable of investigating complex / technical issues
  • Provide and reviewing solution designs and supporting project planning
  • Document and provide end-user training prior experience with Fixed Income
  • Recommend business solutions that satisfy sponsor/stakeholder needs continually exploring and assessing options for value-add for clients.
  • Complete end-user documentation and prepare training material
  • Execute and document test plans to ensure quality
  • Perform unit testing and integration testing
  • Troubleshoot problems with systems
  • Maintain systems to optimize performance and document systems

Desired Skill Set :

  • 5 to 8 years of experience with outstanding facilitation, influencing and negotiation skills with key stakeholder
  • 5 to 8 years of experience with writing business requirements/technical specifications
  • 5 to 8 years of experience with an understanding of Capital Markets systems and/or Calypso / Bondone (DSTS) / Broadridge ICI / Bloomberg TOMS
  • 5 to 8 years of experience with Test Strategy / Test Plan documentation
  • 5 to 8 years of experience with Test cases – writing and executing
  • 5 to 8 years of experience with Issues management and tracking
  • 5 to 8 years of experience to create good system documentation
  • 5 to 8 years of experience to produce usable documentation for all artifacts
  • 5 to 8 years of experience with Providing SME support for specific application issues
  • 5 to 8 years of experience with weekend implementation support may be required
  • 5 to 8 years of experience with troubleshooting and system investigation
  • 5 to 8 years of experience with with Level 2/3 support
  • 5 to 8 years of experience with with large technology vendors would an asset
  • 5 to 8 years of experience with requirements understanding and translation into technical system requirement
  • 5 to 8 years of experience with workflow definition, Data analysis, Process definition
  • 5 to 8 years of experience with procedures and operating model understanding
  • 5 to 8 years of experience with translating the business needs from the technology BA team to a technical solution
  • 5 to 8 years of experience with SAP systems
  • 5 to 8 years of experience with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • 5 to 8 years of experience with strong facilitation and presentation skillsAbility to resolve minor conflicts/issues using different tactics prior to escalation
  • 5 to 8 years of experience with knowledge of cost/benefit analysis, risk assessment and quantification methodologies
  • 5 to 8 years of experience with demonstrated ability in interviewing, data modeling, business process modeling, business object modeling and user interface design
  • 5 to 8 years of experience with knowledge of computer software
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or another related field
  • Ability to work independently
