Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr.Data Governance Consultant/Capital Markets and involves overseeing critical data management activities within Capital Markets. This position requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in data governance, data remediation, and capital markets operations. The role focuses on ensuring client data integrity, resolving data quality issues, and strengthening data sourcing processes across multiple systems, ultimately supporting regulatory compliance and accurate reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead data remediation efforts related to client, trade, product, and market data across SPS and ADS environments.
  • Analyze complex data issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement solutions to improve data quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Technology, Risk, and Business teams to identify, track, and resolve data defects efficiently.
  • Support the execution, validation, and documentation of Data Quality rules aligned with Capital Markets data standards (CDEs).
  • Document remediation activities, including findings, impacts, root causes, data flows, lineage discrepancies, corrective actions, and audit trail evidence.
  • Facilitate clear communication of data issues and resolution strategies across various stakeholders to support governance and compliance processes.

Desired Skill-Set

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Capital Markets data management, including trade, product, pricing, or client datasets.
  • Hands-on experience working with SPS/ADS ecosystems such as ICI, APMS, GMTC, SDR, BMOSM, Calypso, WSS, IMAGINE, Murex, Endur, Trader-EH, GEMS, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of client, trade, and market data structures, including identifiers, pricing feeds, GL mapping, and counterparty data.
  • Proven ability to perform detailed data investigations, reconcile inconsistencies, and navigate complex data lineage and mapping issues.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data profiling to analyze and troubleshoot data quality issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for documenting findings and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting regulatory reporting requirements such as FR2052a, FDIC 148, SCCL, CCAR, or IFRS9.
  • Knowledge of data lineage, metadata management, Data Quality frameworks, or Capital Data Environments (CDEs).
  • Previous experience in resolving audit findings or operational risk issues within a financial or data governance context.
