Sr. Front End Developer – React/Capital Markets

Working with one of the top financial clients this role calls for a Sr. Front End Developer – React/Capital Markets who will be accountable to work in a team to develop and implement analytical tools for use by the client’s Capital Markets front office to manage exposures and make trading decisions. The successful candidate must have extensive software development and financial knowledge. The ideal candidate is someone who has strong experience using React function components and hooks and has a solid working knowledge of Typescript.
Responsibilities:
- Help support front-office traders in their use of trading platforms.
- Maintenance and upgrading of existing software structure.
- Lead frontend programming. Ensure high standards are maintained through regular peer code review.
- Write well designed, testable, readable and scalable code.
- Provide training to team members on web technologies.
Desired Skill Set:
- 5+ years of experience building robust, complex and accessible user interfaces and applications.
- Strong experience using React function components and hooks.
- Strong experience using JavaScript / Typescript
- Good working knowledge of the development tools, such as VS code, npm workspaces, vite, eslint, prettier, vitest and react testing library.
- Working experience on third-party packages, such as material ui, Axios, react-router, react query and react table.
- Strong understanding of web fundamentals.
- Strong working knowledge of REST API.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and debugging skills
- Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Nice To Have:
- Sound understanding of Python and FastAPI
- Experience with capital markets (trading/sales) environment
- Excellent creativity skills
