Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Non-IT Project Manager – Expert. You will oversee the deployment and governance of complex DNS infrastructure initiatives, ensuring high availability and security across multiple data centers. This position offers an opportunity to manage large-scale projects leveraging your expertise in network infrastructure, project management methodologies, and stakeholder collaboration, all within a dynamic and forward-thinking environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project plans for deploying DNS Appliances across designated data centers, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and technical standards.
- Coordinate the installation, configuration, testing, and integration of DNS appliances to support DNS Anycast architecture.
- Monitor project progress, ensure adherence to timelines and budgets, and manage resource allocation.
- Establish governance frameworks and standards for DNS operations, ensuring compliance with security policies and network protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with Cross-functional teams including Network Engineering, Security, and Data Center Operations to facilitate seamless project execution.
- Provide regular updates to leadership and key stakeholders on project milestones, risks, issues, and mitigation strategies.
- Identify potential risks to DNS service continuity and appliance deployment; develop and implement mitigation plans accordingly.
- Maintain comprehensive risk registers and ensure proactive management of project risks.
Desired Skill-Set
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years’ experience managing network infrastructure projects, especially in data center environments.
- Deep understanding of DNS architecture, Anycast routing protocols, and DDI solutions.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale deployments and coordinate across multiple technical teams.
- Excellent communication skills with stakeholders and vendors.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies, including Waterfall and hybrid approaches.
- Proficiency with Clarity PPM or similar project portfolio management tools.
- Certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are preferred. Networking certifications like CCNP or Infoblox are advantageous.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with Infoblox or similar DDI platforms.
- Knowledge of high-availability DNS design and global load balancing solutions.
