Responsibilities
- Define project objectives, scope, resource needs, and budget estimates to develop comprehensive project plans.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and ensure all voices are incorporated into project delivery.
- Evaluate current practices, recommend improvements, and assist teams in implementing efficient procedures.
- Coordinate project activities, monitor progress against milestones, and resolve issues to stay on schedule and within budget.
- Manage project financials, track variances, and report findings to relevant stakeholders in accordance with policies.
- Collaborate with internal partners, providing guidance to support informed decision-making across programs, products, and services.
- Coach and mentor team members, negotiate deliverables, and manage milestone expectations collaboratively.
Desired Skill-Set
- 5+ years of proven project management experience in a technology environment.
- PMP certification (or willingness to obtain if not previously held at CIBC).
- Proficiency with MS Project and MS Office suites, with over 5 years of hands-on experience.
- Strong experience managing project financials for at least 3 years.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience working within a financial institution.
- Familiarity with EDF (Enterprise Delivery Framework).
- Experience managing large-scale projects exceeding $5 million.
