Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. Release Train Engineer – SAFe/Credit Card. This position offers an opportunity to lead strategic initiatives within a dynamic credit card project, supporting a major new launch and portfolio conversion. The role involves facilitating complex Agile processes, coordinating across multiple teams, and ensuring successful delivery of high-value features.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate Agile Release Train (ART) processes, including PI Planning, System Demos, and Pre- and Post-PI Planning meetings.
- Coordinate feature deployment considering dependencies, architecture, and order.
- Manage and optimize the flow of value through ARTs using tools like Kanban.
- Escalate impediments, manage risks, and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across business and technical teams to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Oversee and coach a small team of professionals supporting Agile teams.
- Track and report on progress, risks, issues, and financials to senior leadership.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-complexity credit card initiatives within established KPIs and SLAs.
Desired Skill-Set
- 10+ years of experience delivering high-complex credit card features in Agile environments.
- 5+ years of direct experience with data conversions, preferably within credit card portfolios.
- 5+ years presenting status updates, risks, issues, mitigations, and financials to senior leadership.
- Strong financial management skills and risk mitigation expertise.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead through ambiguity with creative problem-solving and critical thinking.
Nice to Have
- Certified SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or PMP certification.
- Previous experience within banking, financial institutions, or organizations offering credit cards.
- Familiarity with Agile tools and methodologies specific to financial services.
