Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Strategic Sourcing Manager. As a key player in the organization’s procurement ecosystem, you will lead sourcing engagements, manage vendor relationships, and develop comprehensive category strategies to deliver sustained value and mitigate risks. This position offers a dynamic and collaborative environment, with opportunities for long-term growth and impactful contributions to enterprise procurement initiatives.

Pay rate range (CAD): $56.70/hr – $68.03/hr

Responsibilities

  • Lead sourcing activities, including requirements gathering, supplier evaluation, and selection processes
  • Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business objectives for technology procurement
  • Drive negotiations on contracts, including statements of work, master service agreements, and commercial terms
  • Manage vendor relationships, ensure compliance, and coordinate transition activities post-contract signing
  • Support risk management and governance requirements across procurement projects
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality standards
  • Continuously analyze market trends and emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, to inform sourcing strategies
  • Identify process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency, transparency, and stakeholder experience
  • Ensure all sourcing activities adhere to enterprise frameworks and regulatory requirements
  • Facilitate communication across cross-functional teams, presenting research and recommendations to management
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting on sourcing metrics, SLA performance, and risk issues

Desired Skill-Set

  • Minimum of 8+ years in strategic sourcing or procurement roles within regulated environments such as banking or financial services
  • Proven negotiation skills covering SOWs, MSAs, NDAs, and pricing negotiations
  • Strong understanding of contract terms, deal structures, and supplier risk considerations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of initiative and resourcefulness as a self-starter
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills

Nice to Have

  • Supply chain certifications
  • Experience in banking, healthcare, or financial sectors
  • Familiarity with procurement tools such as Ariba and Coupa
  • Knowledge of AI-enabled procurement and sourcing technologies
  • Experience managing complex multi-stakeholder projects
