Working with one of our leading public sector clients, this is an exciting opportunity for a  Technology Architect – Level 3 who will be responsible for technical architecture, detailed design, and development on the platform, both hands-on and as a trusted subject matter expert. The potential candidate will handle application design, development, and support of Salesforce related projects from inception through production, including security hardening, and ongoing maintenance.


  • Ensure the system/projects accurately meet defined expectations of stakeholders, including performance, security and testing with development teams
  • Responsible for creating CRM strategy and roadmap, review and provide recommendations on design, security and infrastructure requirements 
  • Define and drive technological architecture and roadmaps using the products and best practices for development agility, performance and security.
  • Design, configure, code and architect large scale solutions/projects and deliver required outcomes in complex settings
  • Work closely with the internal teams to understand current needs, identify the desired process models and solution architecture. Ensure the technical and security rigor is in place for the solutions being developed.
  • Translate business requirements into well-architected secure solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform and products
  • Provide advice on solution, integration and security posture improvement opportunities to defined segments; recommend integration strategies with different business systems including working use of leading integration tools
  • Review Salesforce configuration and ensures the instance has been rigorously secured to protect sensitive data. 
  • Coach and mentor junior developers and other team members. Conduct code reviews to ensuring code quality, maintainability and security
  • Identify, analyze and understand business needs and distilling the information into business and technical requirements
  • Participate in proof-of-concept and technology evaluations, vet possibilities and make recommendations
  • Lead, facilitate and provide technical expertise and advice for the integration of the provincial digital assets/solutions and the Case & Contact Management Salesforce solution
  • Contribute to architectural project plans, to obtain approval for detailed plans and resource estimates
  • Assist change initiatives in planning for technical architecture related activities
  • Ensure compliance with organization's architecture and architecture framework

Desired Skill-Set:

  • 8+ years of (SFDC) systems implementation experience in architecting on multiple Salesforce Clouds with an in-depth understanding of Sales, Service, Community, Marketing and most importantly, Health Clouds
  • 3+ years of experience architecting technical solutions on the Salesforce platform, including experience developing Salesforce customizations (APEX), integrations, etc.
  • 10+ years of experience with technical and/or business process consulting experience, or Enterprise Architecture experience
  • 10+ years of experience with Salesforce with end-to-end implementation, a proven track record of successful delivery of projects, preferably enterprise CRM implementations for large corporations including data management and migration
  • 10+ years of experience withSFDC architectural concepts and how they influence best practices 
  • 10+ years of experience with Development capacity using Visualforce, APEX programming, Lightning,, APIs, JavaScript, REST, web services and other web technologies 
  • 10+ years of experience with integrating with 3rd party solutions, knowledge of integration patterns and tools
  • 10+ years of experience with public cloud environment and security (Azure, AWS, etc.)
  • Knowledge of IT security solutions (Security Information and Event Management, Cloud Access Security Broker, Data Leakage Prevention, Web Application Firewall, Multi Factor Authentication, Data Rights Management, etc.)
  • Knowledge of cloud security capabilities
  • Familiarity with industry standards, guidelines, and regulatory compliance requirements related to information security and cloud computing such as GDPR, ISO 27001, Cloud Security Alliance, NIST 800-53, PCI DSS, etc.
  • Ability to perform security research and document and communicate the findings of their research
  • 10+ years of experience with preparing overall archtecture solutions, conducting walkthroughs, reviews and assessments, analyzing technical and business impact, product integration, enhancements, infrastructure capacity, development and deployment, data distribution, integration and access  
  • 10+ years of experience with large, complex, multi-tier web and cloud based, business critical applications, involving personal health information
  • 10+ years of experience withthe following Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies – Amazon Connect, Amazon Pinpoint, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon Kenisis Datastreams, Amazon S3, Amazon Polly, AWS Lamda and Amazon Cloudwatch
  • 10+ years of experience with the following technologies:, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Lightning Component Framework, Design System, WebServices, SOAP, REST, API, Javascript, JqueryUI, Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, DB2, Actuate Reports, Cognos, Informatica, SSIS, .NET, Agile, BasicGov, Vlocity, FinancialForce, MyFax, Marketo, J2EE, SQL, PHP, PL/SQL, C++, VBA, HTML, ESB, Python and Node.JS. 
  • 10+ years of experience with developing highly robust code frameworks in JS, Lightning, and Apex
  • 10+ years of experience with Architectural framework, artifacts and governance review processes
  • 10+ years of experience with developing architectural project plans and resources
  • 10+ years of experience with developing and maintaining architecture models and artefacts 
  • 10+ years of experience with all governance approval requirements for large scale projects (including scope/contextual, business model/conceptual, logical, physical)
  • 10+ years of experience with Contact Center Technology such as Call Routing, Interactive Voice Response, Workforce Management, etc
  • 10+ years of experience with the following: solution architecture and design; enterprise and technical architecture; software configuration, development and deployment; vendor management and program management, Agile software development principles
  • 10+ years of experience with Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in the development and implementation of technical architectures at the specified experience level
  • 10+ years of experience with at least three different platforms, operating systems, environments, database technologies, and communications protocols
  • 10+ years of experience with middleware and gateways
  • Knowledge of performance considerations in different environments
  • 10+ years of experience with  structured methodologies for the design, development and implementation of applications
  • 10+ years of experience with systems analysis and design in large systems environments
  • 10+ years of experience with the use of Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools and other software tools such as project management tools
  • Awareness of emerging technologies, trends and directions
  • 10+ years of experience with developing enterprise architecture deliverables (e.g. models)
  • 10+ years of experience with leading and mentoring individuals for growth and project success.
  •  Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Business Administration or any other related equivalent degree/experience 
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer (required)
  • Active Salesforce Architect (System or Technical) Certification or working towards 
  • Any other Salesforce Certification is a huge plus
  • Certifications in CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CCSK considered an asset
  • Knowledge of  Enterprise Architecture artifacts (or similar), processes and practices, and ability to produce technical documentation that comply with industry standard practices
  • Knowledge and experience with Health messaging standards and protocols, Personal Health Information Privacy legislation and related security considerations and controls
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standard such as Project Management Institute (PMI) 
  • Knowledge of I&IT project management methodologies an asset
  • Knowledge and experience with organization's or Broader Public-Sector health related projects an asset
  • Knowledge and understanding of Ministry policy and IT project approval processes and requirements
  • Experience adopting and adhering to Unified I&IT Project Methodology, Enerprise Architecture and Gating process, and Standard Systems Development Methodologies would be an asset
  • Experience with large complex IT Health-related projects
  • Experience with GO-ITS Digital Health standards, and internal branch standards would be an asset.
