Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Trade Support Associate/Derivative Products. In this position, you will be responsible for providing technical support for trading and risk management applications, ensuring smooth operation and minimizing downtime. You will collaborate with trading desks, IT teams, and operational stakeholders to resolve issues quickly, implement system enhancements, and support new product integrations to facilitate efficient trading activities.
Pay rate range (CAD): $50.72/hr – $60.86/hr
Responsibilities
- Provide first-level support for trading, risk, and compliance applications used across the business.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application incidents promptly to minimize operational impact.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement system upgrades, patches, and new features.
- Assist with user access requests, system configurations, and data integrity verification.
- Support and participate in system testing, user acceptance testing, and deployment activities.
- Document issues, resolutions, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Monitor application performance and escalate/escalate significant issues as needed.
- Work closely with business units to understand application needs and translate these into technical solutions.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Support the implementation of new systems, technology upgrades, and process improvements.
Desired Skill-Set
- 1-3 years of experience supporting financial trading or risk management applications.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a focus on application issues.
- Knowledge of financial products such as derivatives, equities, and fixed income instruments.
- Experience supporting applications like Calypso, Bloomberg, SwapOne, TraderEH, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with SQL, scripting, or other programming languages is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
Nice to Have
- Experience with system testing, UAT, and deployment processes.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies.
- Experience with automation tools and workflow enhancements.
- Background in financial markets and trading operations.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
