Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a UX Design Strategist- Banking and Insurance, a dynamic leader responsible for developing and executing comprehensive experience strategies that elevate customer and employee journeys within a complex financial ecosystem. This is a critical position that requires a blend of strategic thinking, user-centric design expertise, and excellent stakeholder collaboration to deliver industry-leading solutions aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business and journey owners to understand the banking and insurance landscapes, aligning experience strategies with organizational goals and key initiatives.
  • Lead the creation of customer and employee experience visions, including journey maps, service design blueprints, and “North Star” concepts that inform 3-5 year strategic roadmaps.
  • Guide cross-functional teams through human-centered design processes to identify unmet needs, conceptualize innovative products and services, and prioritize opportunities based on impact.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality experience strategy artifacts such as discovery plans, research insights, competitive analyses, prototypes, and strategic presentations to senior leadership.
  • Craft compelling experience vision presentations, communicating ideas and rationale effectively to senior management and executive stakeholders.
  • Build and nurture strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders across business, product, and technology domains to ensure seamless experience delivery.
  • Lead and mentor design teams, providing hands-on direction, feedback, and motivation to foster excellence in deliverables.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and cross-disciplinary collaboration to ensure an integrated approach across all projects.
  • Continuously refine a strategic design framework to support a cohesive and holistic experience approach, tailored to the banking and insurance sectors.

Desired Skill-Set

  • A degree in design or related disciplines such as industrial design, human factors, psychology, human-computer interaction, or information systems.
  • 5 to 7+ years of proven experience leading complex, user-centered design initiatives in enterprise or consumer-focused environments, particularly within banking or insurance.
  • Deep expertise in experience strategy, service design, and product design, with a proven track record of developing impactful, data-informed solutions.
  • Well-versed in all creative disciplines including experience strategy, research, interaction design, visual design, and copywriting.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen, translating design insights into clear business impacts and strategic recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to prioritize in ambiguous environments.
  • Attentive to detail and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working within Agile methodologies (Scrum or similar).
  • Exposure to conceptualizing and designing AI-driven experiences.
  • Proficiency in visual communication to support complex concepts simply and effectively.
  • Prior experience within financial institutions or insurance companies.
