Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a UX Designer and offers an exciting opportunity to deliver innovative solutions within a dynamic and collaborative environment. The position involves partnering closely with stakeholders to translate complex requirements into engaging, user-friendly designs, while contributing to the strategic development of innovative customer experiences across web and mobile platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders on Figma to design and refine wireframes, prototypes, and user interface concepts.
  • Conduct design reviews and facilitate feedback sessions with managers to ensure design alignment.
  • Participate in planning and leading Design Thinking sessions with business teams and experience design strategy groups.
  • Advocate for the end-user throughout the project lifecycle by ensuring design solutions meet customer needs.
  • Work closely with development teams to translate design concepts into functional products.
  • Stay informed about current design methodologies, best practices, and industry trends.
  • Assist in customer research activities such as usability testing and observational studies to validate design solutions.
  • Communicate effectively by presenting ideas and rationale to diverse audiences, ensuring clarity and collaboration.

Desired Skill-Set

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a UX Designer, with strong expertise in wireframing and prototyping.
  • Proficiency in Figma for at least 3 years, with demonstrated ability to produce detailed prototypes and specifications.
  • Experience creating user flows, sketches, and storyboards to support design concepts.
  • Ability to translate complex processes into intuitive user experiences.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an aptitude for articulating design choices.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Nice to Have

  • Animation skills, particularly for page transitions.
  • Prior experience within the financial industry.
  • Knowledge of non-registered and registered savings products such as RESPs, RRSPs, TFSAs, and FHSAs.

Additional Information

  • This is a contract position with a start date in February, lasting approximately seven months with the possibility of extension and conversion.
  • The role offers a flexible work environment, transitioning from a three-day on-site schedule to four days in the office in 2026.
  • Salary is $94 per hour, with work primarily remote, on-site, or hybrid at Toronto’s TD Terrace.
  • No travel required.
