Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Windows Infrastructure & Security Admin and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a secure, reliable IT infrastructure within a highly regulated environment. The position involves supporting critical security applications, managing Windows Server and Active Directory, and ensuring compliance with industry standards, all within a hybrid work setting that balances office presence and remote flexibility. You will play a vital role in maintaining infrastructure stability, implementing security protocols, and collaborating with physical security teams to uphold enterprise security posture.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Manage Active Directory including design, ongoing maintenance, group policies, authentication processes, and permission controls.
  • oversee MS SQL Server operations, including deployment, security patching, performance tuning, monitoring, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Maintain and optimize virtualized environments using industry-standard platforms such as Hyper-V, VMware, or Proxmox.
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot firewall appliances and network security devices.
  • Implement and enforce security protocols, including endpoint protection, firewalls, antivirus, SIEM integration, and vulnerability management strategies.
  • Collaborate with physical security teams to integrate access control systems, CCTV infrastructure, and badge management.
  • Maintain comprehensive backup and recovery solutions to support data integrity, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
  • Ensure compliance with financial and industry standards such as PCI DSS, SOX, GLBA, ISO 27001, and NIST frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, policies, procedures, and architectural diagrams.
  • Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting assistance to IT teams and end-users.

Desired Skill-Set

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Windows Server administration, Active Directory management, and MS SQL Server.
  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, OSI model, firewalls, VPNs, routers, and switches.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms like VMware, Hyper-V, or Proxmox, coupled with PowerShell automation.
  • Proficiency with monitoring and performance tuning tools to optimize system reliability.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements and audit support related to security controls.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with physical security systems and their integration with IT infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with cyber and physical security teams.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of emerging cyber threats, risk mitigation, and security best practices.
  • Focus on process improvement initiatives and automation strategies.
  • Knowledge of cloud services such as AWS, Azure, and Microsoft 365.
  • Relevant certifications, including Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, CCNA, CISSP, Security+, or ITIL Foundation.
  • Prior experience within a financial services environment is a plus.
