Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Senior Power BI Developer – Regulatory Reporting & RWA specializing in Power Platform technologies. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with data partners to understand requirements and deliver scalable Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI semantic models using DAX, Power Query (M-Code), and SQL.
- Build and support automated workflows with Power Automate to streamline reporting processes.
- Assist in data ingestion, transformation, and reconciliation across multiple banking data sources.
- Ensure data lineage, data quality, and compliance with governance standards.
- Manage and govern Power BI Service environments, including workspace strategies, dataset refreshes, and access controls.
- Document workflows, data models, and configurations to support audit and regulatory needs.
- Support data modernization efforts with innovative modeling techniques and cloud integration strategies.
- Mentor junior team members and promote best practices in data and Power Platform development.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings with Risk, Finance, and Technology teams to gather requirements and showcase solutions.
Desired Skill-Set
- Power BI Desktop & Power BI Service (Expert level)
- Advanced DAX and Power Query (M-Code)
- SQL (SQL Server or equivalent)
- Data modeling (star schema, conformed dimensions)
- ETL concepts and performance optimization
- Power Automate and Power Platform fundamentals
- Version control tools such as Git or Azure DevOps
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, storytelling visuals
Nice to Have
- Experience with Python scripting
- Familiarity with Power Platform governance practices
- Knowledge of version control processes
- Experience with cloud data platforms and APIs
