Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Power Platform Developer (Power Apps/Power Automate). This position involves designing, building, and supporting secure, scalable business applications within a highly regulated banking environment, focusing on automation, digitization, and compliance with security and governance standards.
Pay rate range (CAD): $72.46/hr– $86.96/hr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Power Apps (Canvas and Model Driven) aligned with banking regulatory and business requirements
- Develop and support Power Automate workflows with controls, exception handling, and logging
- Design and manage Dataverse data models, including relationships, business rules, validations, and security roles
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Outlook
- Implement role-based access control (RBAC), data loss prevention (DLP) policies, and environment strategies
- Ensure solutions meet security, privacy, audit, and risk management standards
- Collaborate with business stakeholders during requirements gathering, solution design, and reviews
- Document solution designs, data models, controls, and support artifacts for audit and operational readiness
- Support application lifecycle management (ALM) through deployment pipelines, environment promotions, and managed solutions
- Provide production support, troubleshooting, and controlled enhancements for existing applications
Desired Skill-Set
- 5+ years of experience delivering business solutions with Microsoft Power Platform
- Hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse
- Proficiency in Power Fx with experience designing complex forms, validations, and logic
- Ability to integrate solutions with Microsoft 365 applications and various data sources
- Strong understanding of security concepts including RBAC, least privilege, and data protection
- Experience working in regulated, enterprise, or financial services environments
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders
- Proven ability to balance rapid delivery with control, stability, and compliance
Nice to Have
- Experience with project management frameworks in waterfall or agile environments
- Knowledge of SDLC, Agile, or hybrid delivery models
- Supporting applications used by front office, operations, or risk/compliance teams
- Relevant Power Platform certifications (PL 100, PL 200, or PL 400)
- Experience working in high-volume, fast-paced environments
