Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Business BA – Digital Wealth/Investments. This contract position focuses on supporting a high-profile digital investment platform launch, providing critical discovery, requirements gathering, and stakeholder alignment to ensure a successful development phase.
Pay rate range (CAD): $83.00/hr – $90.00/hr
Responsibilities
- Lead requirements elicitation sessions and discovery workshops with cross-functional stakeholders including product, operations, risk, legal, compliance, and digital teams
- Facilitate collaborative working sessions to ensure clear understanding of business needs
- Translate stakeholder needs into structured Agile artifacts such as epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Support backlog refinement and sprint readiness activities
- Define minimum viable product (MVP) scope by distinguishing must-have versus nice-to-have features
- Document dependencies, assumptions, and scope boundaries to ensure clarity
- Manage conflicting requirements and ambiguous inputs through structured analysis
- Secure stakeholder consensus across various business groups
- Prepare executive-level materials including summaries, options, risk analyses, and recommendations
- Present project updates and findings to senior directors and occasionally VPs
- Contribute to defining digital investment capabilities such as login experiences, investment purchasing, wealth management, onboarding, funding flows, and compliance features
Desired Skill-Set
- Approximately 8–10 years of senior Business Analysis experience
- Proven success in leading discovery sessions, stakeholder workshops, and requirements definition
- Strong facilitation, communication, and executive presence skills
- Experience in digital platforms and/or wealth/asset management domains
- Proficiency in Agile frameworks and documentation (Jira, Confluence)
- Ability to translate business needs into detailed, structured requirements
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement, conflict resolution, and decision-making
Nice to Have
- Experience with digital customer journey mapping
- Prior involvement in investment or wealth management projects
- Familiarity with Agile user story mapping and backlog management
- Previous exposure to high-profile digital transformation initiatives
