Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Senior Business Systems Analyst – AML. This position involves supporting multiple AML projects within a dynamic IT environment, ensuring regulatory compliance and facilitating smooth project delivery. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership, take ownership of requirements, and have a strong understanding of AML processes and data management.
Pay rate range (CAD): $72.46/hr – $86.96/hr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate across multiple AML project pods to gather and validate business requirements
- Support end-to-end requirements lifecycle, including analysis, documentation, and stakeholder communication
- Lead requirements discussions, identify gaps, and define critical work streams in the absence of full details
- Develop and maintain user stories and functional documentation for project delivery
- Work effectively with stakeholders, including compliance and IT teams, to ensure AML objectives are met
- Prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced environment
- Support project planning and ensure deadlines related to regulatory compliance are achieved
- Assist Product Owners in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and requirement clarification
Desired Skill-Set
- Proven experience supporting AML projects with end-to-end requirements ownership
- Strong ability to communicate complex technical and regulatory concepts effectively
- Self-starter with initiative, leadership qualities, and the ability to work independently
- Skilled in identifying gaps, setting priorities, and defining work with incomplete requirements
- Experience supporting multiple projects simultaneously with a product owner mindset
- Good understanding of data capture processes and downstream data impacts in AML workflows
- Excellent soft skills and stakeholder management capabilities
- Relevant certifications such as CSPO are a plus
Nice to Have
- Experience working in waterfall and hybrid project environments
- Knowledge of regulatory deadlines and compliance standards in AML projects
- Familiarity with tools supporting requirements management and stakeholder collaboration
