Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. BSA – Interac Payments/Mainframe. This position offers the opportunity to lead critical initiatives in a dynamic banking environment, with focus on Interac payment systems and mainframe technology, supporting innovative projects that drive digital transformation and enhance customer experience.
Pay rate range (CAD): $71.22/hr – $85.47/hr
Responsibilities:
- Translate business needs into detailed technical requirements and vice versa for stakeholders and technical teams.
- Manage the end-to-end requirements lifecycle, ensuring traceability from design through deployment.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define solutions, assess impact, and facilitate seamless integration.
- Support testing phases by translating requirements into test cases and evaluating results.
- Provide expertise in system design, reusability, scalability, and quality assurance.
- Lead requirements gathering sessions and support documentation, including user stories using Behavior-Driven Development.
- Promote innovative approaches and continuous process improvements.
- Assist in operational and process analysis to optimize systems and workflows.
- Contribute to change management, ensuring operational readiness and smooth implementation.
- Support development of business cases, RFI/RFPs, and vendor management activities.
- Maintain knowledge of evolving technology trends, banking products, and services.
Desired Skill-Set:
- 8+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Software Engineer, or Quality Engineer.
- Strong expertise in Mainframe systems.
- Proven experience within a Scaled Agile (SAFe) framework.
- Adept at writing user stories and requirements using Behavior Driven Development methodology.
- Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
- Excellent testing and gap analysis skills.
- Knowledge of Interac Payments and associated financial systems.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Engineering mindset with problem-solving capability.
Nice to Have:
- Direct experience with Interac payment systems.
- API and Postman experience.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Github Copilot.
- Prior banking or financial services experience.
