Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Financial Analyst — Banking. This position involves providing critical financial reporting, forecasting, and budget management support within a collaborative team environment, primarily focused on marketing expenses. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
Pay rate range (CAD): $40.30/hr – $48.37/hr
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver accurate month-end reporting of marketing expenses, including detailed budget outlooks and variance analyses
- Collaborate with Marketing Planners to address accruals, budgeting questions, and system entries within Quickbase
- Analyze and interpret marketing expense data to provide actionable insights and recommendations
- Develop and refine reporting tools and Excel models that enhance visibility and understanding of budget performance
- Ensure the integrity of budget data in marketing financial systems
- Support the timely completion of financial deliverables, including annual planning and quarterly forecasts
- Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders across marketing and finance teams to ensure alignment and clarity
- Assist in preparing presentations and summaries for senior management and stakeholders
Desired Skill-Set
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial planning and analysis
- Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of financial principles and data visualization
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to synthesize financial data into clear, concise messages for diverse audiences
- Comfortable engaging with multiple functional stakeholders, including marketing teams and finance partners
Nice to Have
- Experience with Quickbase or similar budget management software
- Prior experience working within banking or financial services industries
- Knowledge of SharePoint site editing and management
