Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Bilingual Banking Operations Analyst. This position involves providing day-to-day operational support within a dynamic team environment, ensuring accurate processing of transactions, escalation of issues, and continuous process improvements. The role offers valuable financial instituion experience, exposure to multiple teams, and opportunities to develop your credit and operational expertise.
Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $27.70/hr
Responsibilities
- Execute complex transactions and overrides accurately, adhering to established guidelines and SLAs.
- Refer or escalate processing or operational issues efficiently, coordinating with relevant partners to resolve.
- Identify and recommend improvements to enhance service delivery.
- Analyze key process drivers and systemic issues, interpreting findings to inform action plans.
- Support inbound and outbound requests from internal channels, performing adjustments within authority levels.
- Prioritize workload effectively to meet SLA requirements, supporting team and manager in workload management.
- Maintain knowledge of internal regulations and industry trends; assess their impacts on policies and procedures.
- Protect sensitive information by exercising discretion and ensuring confidentiality.
- Support development and implementation of policies, standards, and solutions to mitigate risks and improve service efficiency.
- Contribute to management presentations and communications.
- Manage risks by identifying, escalating, and resolving high-risk or non-standard issues promptly.
- Adhere to relevant frameworks such as Anti-Money Laundering and Business Continuity Management.
- Support change management initiatives, ensuring clear communication of new processes.
- Lead and participate in process improvement activities to facilitate business growth.
- Perform ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned to support leadership and operational objectives.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize operations, share knowledge, and foster a positive, customer-focused environment.
Desired Skill-Set
- Post-secondary education preferred; bilingual in French is an asset.
- Over 2 years of banking experience with a focus on operations.
- Proven ability to meet SLAs with high accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail and proactive approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organized with efficient typing skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive data with discretion and confidentiality.
- Experience working in routine, repetitive environments.
Nice to Have
- Bilingual fluency in English and French.
- Prior experience with a Bank or financial institution.
- Knowledge of securities, funding processes, or credit documentation.
- Experience supporting change management initiatives.
