Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for an Application Support Analyst – Wire Payments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a critical payment ecosystem application, providing valuable technical experience and potential for full-time employment.

Pay rate range (CAD): $68.84/hr – $82.61/hr

Responsibilities

  • Develop, support, and enhance the Enterprise Wire Room (EWR) application, a Tier 1 critical payment system
  • Provide hands-on support during project implementations and ongoing maintenance
  • Manage incident and problem management processes to ensure application stability and performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement microservice architecture using Redhat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm
  • Work with web technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, and Node.js to develop scalable solutions
  • Use SQL/Oracle databases for data management and query optimization
  • Conduct support shift duties on a rotational basis, including one week per month
  • Assist with infrastructure activities, including system monitoring and log analysis via tools like Dynatrace
  • Participate in change management, disaster recovery exercises, and audit processes

Desired Skill-Set

  • 5+ years of software development and production support experience
  • Strong knowledge of incident and problem management procedures
  • 2+ years of experience with Redhat Linux, IBM MQ/Kafka, SQL/Oracle DB
  • 2+ years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Node.js
  • Hands-on knowledge of microservice architecture, containerization (Redhat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm)
  • Payment industry experience, at least 2 years
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively

Nice to Have

  • Banking industry experience
  • Prior support for Tier 1 or Tier 1 Critical applications
  • Familiarity with change management and SDLC/Agile methodologies
  • Experience with CCR projects involving infrastructure and application upgrades
  • Knowledge of log monitoring tools like Dynatrace
  • Experience with file transfer software and scheduling tools such as Autosys
  • DevOps and CI/CD pipeline deployment skills using Jenkins, Artifactory, GitHub Actions
  • Understanding of security, resiliency, and regulatory audit requirements
  • Hands-on experience with disaster recovery exercises
