Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Business Continuity Coordinator – Disaster Recovery/Banking. This position involves managing a variety of accounting tasks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supporting the finance team to meet compliance standards and operational goals.
Pay rate (CAD): $17.60/hr – $24.00/hr
Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and timely
- Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts regularly
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Prepare and review financial reports and summaries
- Support audit preparations by providing necessary documentation
- Maintain meticulous records of financial transactions and documentation
- Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and improve flow of information
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
Desired Skill-Set
- Demonstrated experience as an accounting clerk or in a similar finance role
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in work
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Nice to Have
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Experience working in a financial services or banking environment
- Knowledge of ERP systems and advanced Excel features
- Professional accounting designation or coursework in progress
