Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a SRE / DevOps Engineer – Azure / Banking. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical infrastructure projects within a dynamic team environment, supporting cloud migration and enterprise-level solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Deploy, manage, and operate complex applications within cloud environments, primarily Azure.
- Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Shell to enhance system efficiency.
- Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, SALT, or CHEF.
- Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure, services, and applications to ensure high availability and performance.
- Configure and manage big data technologies, databases, and data storage solutions.
- Follow DevOps best practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), configuration management, and agile methodologies.
- Participate in on-call rotations and handle incident response independently when required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support migration projects into Azure, ensuring smooth transition and optimal operation.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures.
Desired Skill-Set:
- Extensive experience with Windows administration and PowerShell scripting.
- Proven expertise in Azure cloud services, including IaaS, Infrastructure as Code, and ASP.
- Strong background in Databricks and big data technologies.
- Proficiency in configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, SALT, or CHEF.
- Development experience with PowerShell, Bash, Shell scripting, and Python.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Github, Bitbucket, Nexus.
- Solid understanding of infrastructure monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to work independently on complex tasks with a strong engineering mindset.
Nice to Have:
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., Azure certifications).
- Experience with data indexing and data storage optimization approaches.
- Familiarity with Agile principles and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of enterprise data architectures and large-scale data processing.
