Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Banking Associate – MS Excel. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to operational support within a leading financial institution, with potential for extension and full-time conversion based on performance and business needs. Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $24.88/hr

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned transfer requests, review and verify all documentation for accuracy, and identify discrepancies or missing information.
  • Communicate effectively with internal partners to resolve issues promptly and provide detailed explanations for resolutions.
  • Handle daily transfer and transaction processing, ensuring adherence to established procedures and SLAs.
  • Document and record all activities accurately while maintaining compliance with banking policies and standards.
  • Participate in daily team meetings and collaborate with internal partners to optimize operational workflows.
  • Support audit processes by following guidelines and addressing identified risks or issues.
  • Adapt to process and technology improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Maintain a focus on customer satisfaction by ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.

Desired Skill-Set

  • 2-4 years of experience in banking or financial services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Transfer and transaction processing experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Analytical skills to review and interpret financial data.
  • Ability to work independently, adhere to deadlines, and manage high volume workloads.
  • Sound understanding of banking policies, procedures, and financial products such as RRSPs and mutual funds.
  • Knowledge of MM and FX products (e.g., options, foreign exchange spots/forwards, money market deposits/loans).

Nice to Have

  • Experience running macros in Excel.
