Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for an Intermediate Business Analyst – Data Transformation Program. You will support a strategic enterprise project focused on centralizing and improving business data governance, quality, and integration to lay the groundwork for future enterprise platforms. This highly visible role requires strong relationship management, requirements elicitation, and stakeholder collaboration skills to ensure successful project outcomes.
Pay rate range (CAD): $50.00/hr – $60.00/hr
Responsibilities
- Facilitate workshops and interviews to elicit, analyze, and document business and data requirements
- Build strong relationships with business units to uncover unmet needs and opportunities
- Translate business objectives into detailed requirements, use cases, process flows, and documentation
- Develop Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), process maps, and related artifacts
- Define current and future state business processes and obtain stakeholder sign-offs
- Analyze data across multiple environments including Yardi, Argis, Zoho CRM, Excel, and Power Apps
- Define data requirements, rules, ownership, and information flows
- Document data relationships, source-to-target mappings, and business data definitions
- Identify and recommend improvements to data quality, accessibility, and governance
- Support transitioning from decentralized spreadsheets and applications to a centralized data environment
- Assist in establishing standards and practices for future enterprise initiatives
- Serve as liaison between business teams, IT, vendors, and project leadership
- Collaborate with data integration specialists and external vendors to clarify requirements and support delivery
- Facilitate discussions on priorities, risks, dependencies, and implementation considerations
- Provide regular updates and clear communication to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
- Support development of testing plans, traceability matrices, and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) activities
- Validate delivered solutions against documented requirements and manage defect resolution
Desired Skill-Set
- 5+ years of Business Analyst experience in enterprise data or process improvement projects
- Proven ability to gather requirements directly from business stakeholders and translate into structured documentation
- Strong experience documenting business processes, workflows, use cases, and requirements
- Experience supporting data initiatives involving multiple systems and data sources
- Ability to collaborate effectively between business teams and technical groups
- Experience coordinating with external vendors and implementation partners
- Excellent documentation skills including BRDs, process maps, and testing artifacts
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate independently in less structured environments and deliver results with minimal oversight
Nice to Have
- Experience working with ERP, CRM, forecasting, or financial systems
- Exposure to Yardi, Argus, Zoho CRM, Power Apps, or similar enterprise platforms
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality, master data management, or information management initiatives
- Understanding of cloud-based data integration environments
- Commercial real estate industry experience
- Familiarity with Waterfall methodologies and formal requirements management processes
