Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Banking Associate – NSF Processing. The position involves managing daily transaction volumes, performing exception management on NSF items, deceased accounts, etc., and ensuring SLA targets are consistently met. Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $24.88/hr

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily transaction volumes, ensuring SLA compliance across multiple processes
  • Handle exception management for NSF items, closed or unfound accounts, deceased accounts, and court-ordered accounts
  • Conduct detailed account investigations and verify transaction details
  • Decide whether payments should be processed or returned based on account status and findings
  • Collaborate with internal teams and escalate issues when necessary
  • Support process improvement initiatives and adhere to audit and compliance standards
  • Maintain accurate records, ensure data confidentiality, and follow established procedures
  • Participate in daily huddles and team meetings to coordinate workload
  • Utilize Microsoft Office 365 applications, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook

Desired Skill-Set

  • 2-4 years of banking or financial services experience
  • Strong transaction processing background
  • Proven ability to meet SLAs and handle high-volume workloads
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and adaptable to change
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills
  • Knowledge of NSF processing, account maintenance, and compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with bank products such as payments, cash accounts, and court orders

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI tools such as Copilot
  • Knowledge of Global and WSS platforms
  • Previous experience working in a back-office banking environment with cash products (loans, deposits, swaps, forwards)
