Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Banking Associate – NSF Processing. The position involves managing daily transaction volumes, performing exception management on NSF items, deceased accounts, etc., and ensuring SLA targets are consistently met. Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $24.88/hr
Responsibilities
- Manage daily transaction volumes, ensuring SLA compliance across multiple processes
- Handle exception management for NSF items, closed or unfound accounts, deceased accounts, and court-ordered accounts
- Conduct detailed account investigations and verify transaction details
- Decide whether payments should be processed or returned based on account status and findings
- Collaborate with internal teams and escalate issues when necessary
- Support process improvement initiatives and adhere to audit and compliance standards
- Maintain accurate records, ensure data confidentiality, and follow established procedures
- Participate in daily huddles and team meetings to coordinate workload
- Utilize Microsoft Office 365 applications, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
Desired Skill-Set
- 2-4 years of banking or financial services experience
- Strong transaction processing background
- Proven ability to meet SLAs and handle high-volume workloads
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and adaptable to change
- Strong analytical and investigative skills
- Knowledge of NSF processing, account maintenance, and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with bank products such as payments, cash accounts, and court orders
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI tools such as Copilot
- Knowledge of Global and WSS platforms
- Previous experience working in a back-office banking environment with cash products (loans, deposits, swaps, forwards)
