Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. BSA/QE-Payments/Mainframe. This position involves translating complex business needs into technical solutions, managing end-to-end system requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support modernization and compliance initiatives. Pay rate range (CAD): $67.17/hr – $80.61/hr
Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications
- Manage and trace system requirements throughout the project lifecycle
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify solutions and assess impact on existing systems
- Support testing teams by translating requirements into test cases and validation criteria
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to ensure quality, scalability, and reusability of solutions
- Facilitate communication between business partners and technical teams
- Drive process improvement and innovation through subject matter expertise
- Contribute to change management, operational readiness, and post-implementation activities
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with standards and frameworks
- Participate fully in Agile delivery activities, including grooming and sprint planning
- Support the development of business cases and vendor engagement activities
Desired Skill-Set
- 8+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Software Engineer, or Quality Engineer
- Strong hands-on experience in querying and maintaining data on Mainframe screens
- Proven experience within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe or similar)
- Expertise in Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) for user story creation
- Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for requirements and project management
- Solid testing, gap analysis, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration abilities
- Engineering mindset with strong problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
- Payment processing experience
- API and Postman experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Copilot or Github Copilot
- Previous experience in banking or financial services
