Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Technical BSA-eFX Products/eTrading. You will support the Capital Markets Derivatives Technology team, focusing on enhancing and modernizing the bank's electronic FX trading platform. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with front office traders, technology teams, and external vendors to drive strategic initiatives that improve workflow efficiency and platform performance.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with Front Office Sales & Trading to gather and clarify business requirements
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications for platform enhancements
  • Support key projects including platform modernization, workflow optimization, and vendor integration
  • Assist in validating new workflows within electronic trading systems
  • Troubleshoot workflow issues by analyzing JSON payloads and database queries
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data analysis and issue investigation
  • Collaborate with technology teams and external vendors on releases and fixes
  • Support functional testing activities as needed
  • Analyze production incidents and workflow defects to identify root causes
  • Read and interpret FIX messages and JSON data for troubleshooting
  • Manage multiple concurrent initiatives efficiently
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across business, vendor, and tech teams

Desired Skill-Set

  • 5–7+ years supporting Front Office electronic trading environments
  • Deep knowledge of FX products: Spot, Forwards, Swaps, and understanding of FX Options
  • Experience with trade lifecycle processes and valuation concepts
  • Proven ability to work directly with Sales Traders and Trading technology teams
  • Strong technical foundation including SQL, JSON, API concepts, FIX Protocol
  • Familiarity with electronic trading infrastructure: messaging workflows, connectivity, and vendor integrations
  • Effective communication skills for engaging with traders, vendors, and technical teams
  • Ability to interpret and troubleshoot JSON messages and database queries

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to Python or Microsoft Databricks
  • Bloomberg workflow experience
  • Hands-on familiarity with electronic trading infrastructure concepts such as message sequencing and cross-connects
  • Understanding of data flows and how trading data supports downstream analytics platforms
