Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Solutions Architect-Kafka/Notification Or Messaging Platform. This position involves supporting multiple BAU and strategic architecture initiatives, primarily focusing on high-volume event-driven and messaging systems, within a large financial services environment. The successful candidate will develop and maintain architecture frameworks, collaborate across teams, and ensure solutions align with enterprise standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain architecture frameworks, strategies, policies, principles, and standards for technology solutions
- Design, evaluate, and recommend scalable, reliable, and secure architectural solutions aligned with business needs and enterprise standards
- Collaborate with CoE partners and other architects to understand and vet security standards and mitigate risks
- Analyze business requirements to identify optimal solutions within the architecture framework
- Review detailed project solution architectures for compliance with standards and security policies, providing sign-off
- Contribute to project planning; oversee project execution by managing resources and communicating status
- Provide expert consultation on high-risk, complex projects, ensuring technical solutions meet requirements
- Work with Systems Analysts to develop Requirements Traceability Matrices for end-to-end solution tracking
- Facilitate collaboration across business units to ensure consistent application of IT strategies and standards
- Ensure project compliance with architecture and development standards through ongoing reviews
- Support development and communication of strategic policies and solutions
- Conduct pre- and post-implementation reviews to verify solution effectiveness and compliance
- Identify enhancements and gaps in architectural frameworks and standards for continuous improvement
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance architectural solutions
- Lead negotiations of third-party contracts and support knowledge transfer across teams
- Promote teamwork and provide support to achieve organizational objectives
- Manage complex architecture projects independently, acting as a subject matter expert
- Act as a key resource in architectural information exchange within project teams and external vendors
Desired Skill-Set
- Bachelor’s degree or technical certification; graduate degree preferred
- Over 10 years of relevant experience within high-volume eventing and messaging systems
- Proven expertise in designing and tuning high-throughput messaging systems like Kafka / Confluent Cloud
- Strong experience with Azure Cloud platform and cloud-native architecture
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage complex projects autonomously
Nice to Have
- Experience with Amazon Connect
- Knowledge of AWS and GCP cloud platforms
