Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Bilingual Banking Associate – Risk & Compliance. This position offers an excellent opportunity for career growth, with potential for extension and conversion based on performance and business needs. The role involves providing operational support within a dynamic financial services environment, managing transactions, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $29.56/hr

Responsibilities

  • Execute transaction processing accurately and timely, adhering to established procedures and SLAs
  • Refer or escalate operational issues promptly, connecting with appropriate teams for resolution
  • Support incoming transactions, validating information, and performing adjustments within authority levels
  • Respond effectively and promptly to partner requests and process inquiries
  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and operational efficiency
  • Manage workload to meet SLA and productivity standards
  • Maintain compliance with internal and industry regulations, including Anti-Money Laundering and Business Continuity policies
  • Exercise discretion in handling confidential information and escalate high-risk activities when necessary
  • Assist with analysis and reporting on operational activities and special initiatives
  • Support and contribute to process improvement initiatives within the operations team
  • Stay informed of industry trends, regulations, and emerging operational issues
  • Demonstrate understanding of MM and FX products and global trading platforms as applicable

Desired Skill-Set

  • Bilingual: fully proficient in English and French (read, write, speak)
  • 2-4 years of banking or financial institute experience
  • Customer service experience, ideally from a call center environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and handle high volumes of work
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and adaptable to changing policies

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of risk management and compliance practices
  • Understanding of MM and FX products (Options, Foreign Exchange spots/forwards, Money Market deposits/loans)
  • Experience with Global and WSS platforms
