Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Trade Settlement Analyst-CFA/CSC. This position offers an opportunity to support back-office operations within a dynamic team, with exposure to client's Capital Markets and securities lending platforms. The role involves managing reconciliation, trade settlement activities, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $27.70/hr

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily trade reconciliations, trade matching, and settlement processing
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to trade discrepancies, suspense, and outages
  • Comment and report on failed and pending trades according to SLA requirements
  • Support CDS Arrow binds, netting, and NI24-101 trade matching procedures
  • Manage and update settlement reports and pipeline status, including DTC and CDS trade activity
  • Escalate issues promptly to management and coordinate with internal teams
  • Maintain thorough documentation of procedures, ensuring updates and formalization
  • Conduct risk mitigation activities related to international settlements and market rules
  • Provide client support by responding to inquiries and delivering accurate daily reporting
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and cross-training efforts within the team
  • Adhere to compliance policies, AML regulations, and confidentiality standards
  • Participate in team meetings, coaching, and performance management activities
  • Maintain a professional and organized work environment, ensuring adherence to dress and clean desk policies

Desired Skill-Set

  • 5+ years of experience in banking or financial services, preferably in capital markets or trade processing
  • Strong reconciliation background and trade settlement expertise (CDS/DTC)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot tables, macros)
  • Knowledge of MM and FX products (Options, Foreign Exchange spots, forwards, money market deposits/loans)
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume, deadline-driven environments
  • Knowledge of Global and WSS platforms is an asset

Nice to Have

  • CSC courses, CFA, CGA, or accounting certifications
  • Coding or automation skills related to financial workflows
  • Experience with international trade reporting regulations
  • Familiarity with bank’s compliance and operational policies
