Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Quantitative Application Developer. This position involves designing, developing, and implementing data-driven solutions within the Global Markets resource optimization initiative. The successful candidate will contribute to transforming complex trading data into actionable insights and building production-quality applications that support high-stakes decision-making in a fast-paced environment. 

Pay rate range (CAD): $65.22/hr – $78.26/hr

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to elevate prototypes into user-facing applications supporting real-time trading analysis.
  • Design and build dashboards to provide visibility on liquidity, funding positions, and resource metrics.
  • Develop analytical solutions for collateral management, overborrow analysis, and operational efficiencies.
  • Create tools for scenario analysis, stress testing, and resource planning to support risk management.
  • Integrate planning tools with liquidity metrics, transfer pricing, and resource modeling for forward-looking decision support.
  • Transform complex data sources into clear reports and visualizations for traders, risk managers, and senior stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines within cloud-based environments, utilizing Python, SQL, and data engineering best practices.
  • Apply machine learning techniques to enhance predictive analytics and operational modeling.

Desired Skill-Set

  • Strong proficiency in Python 
  • Expertise in SQL and data engineering
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Databricks, similar)
  • Ability to develop end-to-end analytical solutions
  • Knowledge of data visualization frameworks such as Plotly Dash
  • Familiarity with machine learning applications relevant to finance
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Strong communication skills for articulating complex concepts

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience within financial institutions or Capital Markets
  • Exposure to financial technologies
  • Prior analytics or quantitative modeling experience
  • Familiarity with asset/liability management or liquidity risk frameworks
