Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Jr. AML Analyst – Bilingual. This position involves supporting AML and sanctions-related activities within a dynamic team, performing transaction reviews, investigations, and process improvements to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $24.88/hr

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine to broad AML and sanctions tasks following established procedures
  • Investigate transactions, report, or escalate risks and process gaps
  • Gather information for AML, sanctions, and ABAC compliance activities
  • Review banking transactions for adherence to thresholds and guidelines
  • Forward unusual transactions for further review
  • Conduct research to resolve discrepancies
  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and support process enhancements
  • Prioritize workload to meet SLA requirements for productivity
  • Support timely and accurate completion of business processes
  • Escalate high-risk or non-standard activities as needed
  • Maintain proper documentation in line with regulations and internal policies
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to procedural documentation for day-to-day operations
  • Ensure adherence to bank code of conduct and industry standards
  • Support team collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • Promote a positive, diverse, and inclusive work environment

Desired Skill-Set

  • Prior experience handling confidential customer information
  • Basic to intermediate Excel skills (filters, copy/paste, macros)
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, organized, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice to Have

  • Banking or financial institution experience
  • Corporate or professional work background
  • ACAMS certification
  • AML knowledge and experience
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French
